I'm Mikala, your Des Moines area IBE Elite Artist. I'm obsessed with making sure that you love your hair. My medium of choice is extensions and blonding techniques.

I've trained in multiple extension methods, but exclusively offer Invisible Bead Extensions for overall customization and the health of my guest's hair. I strongly believe in the importance of continued education to always be improving my craft. The value of that investment in education is passed along to my clients, as I think your experience with extensions is strongly dictated by how educated you are in the care of them.

My salon is a small, private suite where I can tailor the experience to you. If you want to work during your appointment, perfect, bring your laptop. If you want to relax and zone out, love it, bring a book or just chill. Want to chat about everything we have in common and listen to your favorite music? Awesome,  you can tap in to my bluetooth and be the DJ too.

 

With me, you won't be double booked, put with an assistant, or be in a loud, busy salon. Your experience is whatever you want it to be.

More about me personally, I always have a coffee in hand, just decaf for me nowadays. I've been married to my high school sweetheart for 11 years and have 3 labs, Oakley, Timber, & Indi. They are my entire world. Outside of my suite, you'll probably find me at home, hanging out in my backyard with the dogs, working out, reading, playing piano, learning something, or working on my business. I'm all about living a healthy lifestyle, but I like balance, so I'm also always up for a good margarita too!
